25 And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation: 26 But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.

David had sent the ark back to Jurlisam. (Breath) David no longer had the pressence of God with him. david put his trust in God not knowing if he would ever see the ark again because his son was out to kill him.

30 And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up

David and his men went up to this mount to rethink what they were going to do because abslom was going to kill the king and most likly his men.

think about what Davids mind was at in this moment. his own blood was going to kill him. he was also going to kill all of his men. All his friends but you know what david does?

And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God,

i dont know about you But if a man is trying to kill me i would be shaking in my boots. i would be scared out of my mind. trying to plan a form of attack

But David worshipped God. (Breath) remeber he didnt have the ark in front of him. but he still worshiped God.

we can get so caught up in life all those bills all those worries can get us so distracted that we forget who the God of our bills are, who the God of my worries are. for me i worry a lot. i worry about that school assagment or that car payment but sometimes i have to drop what im doing and say God you are worthy. God you are the holy one. you are the Almighty in my situation and i put my trust in you.

david worshiped in the site of evil. i dont know about you but that encourges me.

i can put my trust in him no matter what was at the bottom of that mount.

no matter what is trying to kill me down at the bottom of this mount i will worship him and put my worries on the lord. Remeber you have power and stregthen through the holy ghost. Nothing can harm you when you have the lord on your side

Now david had a sneaky plan. he had a friend named Hushai.

he was a trusted friend i would say. David wanted him to get close to abslom and get the insdie scoop.

abslom had two people in his ear. One man named Ahithophel and the other Hushai. Ahithophel was telling abslom that he needed to go after David rn we know where he is we can kill him and his men. but than Abslom asked for Hushai for counsel.

And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time. 8 For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people. 9 Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom

after Hushai gave Abslom this advice he ignored Ahithophel.

Ahithopel was a evil man and worried david when he heard that he was with his son.

But by Davids trusted friend abslom was streered another direction and david was saved for the night.

i tell you all of that just to say who is the counsel you have in your life.

who are the ones that will go up to the mount with you?

who are the ones that will cry with you when you have no hope and will streer evil away from you by prayer?

or are you letting a Ahithophel speak into you? Telling you what you want to hear or what sounds good and easy in that moment.

ik a God that holds tomorrow i know a God that wants the best for you. No app nor person knows what will happen in the next moments so why put your trust in that?

Put your trust in your Pastor. Put your Trust in this church. Let the holy Ghost have your ear.

I want to tell you a personal story. it was last year in October . i was a freshmen at IBC, we go on for break it was my first time being back home. i was ready to be home but i had one problem. i had a lump on the side of my neck. it hurt my throat so bad i couldnt swallow. i looked in the back of my throat it was white with infection. sorry if this is a lil graphic. i went to the urgant care they gave me some medicine to help and a shot thought i was going to be all good

2 more days go by and it felt like my thoart was closing up even more i could hardly breath.

so on that thrid day we go back do some blood work and find out some numbersfor my liver enzyme. for the avarage number it should be 0-40. mine was 425. come to find out i had mono.

so they gave me fluids and sent me home with new medicine. hope seemed glim for me at this point. for hours upon hours i laid down i had no energy to anything

i was in so much pain i couldnt eat i couldnt drink.

my mom and dad would knelt at my bed side and prayed. i can tell you those prayers reached God. the faith that they had helped my faith increase.

was i healed the next day? no but they prayed more. was i healed the next day ? no but they prayed some more. i begain to see God working in me my body. my throat started to open up. i felt strength in my body again. i could finally eat a good meal can i get a amen!

you could say well Simeon the medicine started to work. well i tell ya this. you can believe that but all ik is my God is a healer my God made a way for me when i thought there was no way. i had a good counsel of people around me that kept praying for me.

come to find out the whole church was praying for me

it matters who is around you or what is. You need someone that will pray for you in the hopless times. you need someone that will tell you the things you really dont want to hear but you need to hear.

You dont need to look at this world and fill your mind with darkness and hoplessness.

seek the ones that will go up with you into the mountain.

seek the ones that will weep with you

seek the ones that will pray for you

Seek the holy Ghost for strength and direction

But most of all seek God and thats where youll find Your counsel.
